Story
Newark’s Young People’s Community Social Action Project is raising money to support the Whitechapel Mission, who help 350 homeless people every day from a wide range of backgrounds.
The mission is run by volunteers and they support the homeless people by offering food, basic essentials (toothbrushes/ toothpaste/shower gels etc), clothing, help with job applications and so much more. We are already supporting them through our clothing collection campaign to gather items for the Winter Parcels for the homeless.
Every single pound you donate will go to the Whitechapel Mission and contribute to the delivery of their valuable services.
We need YOUR help towards this amazing cause. People can become homeless for many different reasons and any one of us can end up homeless easily. A lot of people don’t have a choice. The Whitechapel Mission has transformed the lives of many homeless people and a stepping stone to a better life.
Newark’s Young People’s Community Social Action Project is funded by the BBC in Children to enable young people from deprived backgrounds to participate in social action projects in their community, make a difference and develop/improve their skills and experiences.
