As an organisation that depends on people's generosity to feed and care for our cats, were deeply worried about how the Coronavirus outbreak will affect the cats who depend on us.

Yorkshire Cat Rescue have put strict measures in place to protect staff and everybody they come into contact with while also ensuring that the cats in our care continue to receive everything they need.

Whilst health and well being is our first priority, we must also consider the financial implications of COVID-19 on our charity. Not only will we lose a huge amount of income from the closure of our shops, but we have also been forced to cancel or postpone many of our fundraising events and collections.

The wonderful thing about animals, and cats in particular, is their ability to provide us with joy and unconditional love, something that becomes even more valuable in times like these. If you are fortunate enough to have a pet with you at home, please do give them an extra cuddle on behalf of all of us at Yorkshire Cat Rescue.
