Help SAA Sick Kittens!

Over the last few weeks we have had a large number of kittens come into the rescue and unfortunately one mom and her 6 kittens are very unwell and currently needing veterinary care. We desperately need help with paying the extra vet bills!

Story

Over the last few weeks the rescue has taken in lots of cats as kitten season reaches crisis point across the UK. We've had some dumped outside the rescue, others come in from other overwhelmed rescues and various other emergencies. To get these kittens ready to be adopted - healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped - it is very expensive, on top of our already enormous vet bills. The last bill we had was over £10000!

Mom Matilda joined us last week along with her 6 kittens. They have become unwell over the last couple of days and are currently all staying at the vets getting care and tests. Mom is struggling to feed and clean her babies so they have been needing extra food, fluids and cleaning so they will be heading home with staff for extra attention.

We would really appreciate any help with funding the medical care for these kittens so we can give them the best shot at growing up happy and healthy and then finding them the loving homes they deserve. Any amount would help, vet bills are a huge expense for the rescue and additional bills put a strain on. We will update you on how the kitten crew gets on. Thank you!

Established in the 1960s, the SAA takes in unwanted and abandoned cats and rabbits. All the animals are micro-chipped, neutered and vaccinated, and the SAA never puts a healthy animal down. The animals are given food, shelter and veterinary care, until loving new homes are found.
