Support the Vulnerable
An explosion in warehouses storing 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate ripped through Beiruts port on 4th August 2020. More than 150 people died, 5,000 were injured and 300,000 left homeless. With the economy already in dire straits and people struggling in the coronavirus pandemic, the disaster has led to a new humanitarian crisis. With your support, Islamic Help aims to assist the most vulnerable by providing desperately-needed food, water and PPE.
Their Time of Need
The damage to Beiruts port from the explosion disrupted food imports and supplies at a time when the countrys economy is already on its knees. The health system was also severely affected with at least three hospitals put out of action. By providing emergency aid, you will be supporting those most in need. They include the most vulnerable the homeless, those whose homes were severely damaged in the blast and families unable to access basic necessities.
