Our daughter Maia was born prematurely at just 32 weeks, together with her twin sister, Sara. When she was just over a year old, we learned that Maia has cerebral palsy—a diagnosis that changed our lives forever.

Today, Maia is 10 years old. She has fought every single day of her life to overcome challenges that most of us can’t even imagine. She has learned to walk with effort, to speak with courage, and to face the world with a smile that lights up even the darkest moments.
