Story
Staffordshire Sight Loss Association is facing closure - and we need your help.
Over 17,000 people are living with sight loss in North Staffordshire and for so many, SSLA is a lifeline.
We provide support, friendship, independence, advice, practical help, and hope to people who are blind and partially sighted, and to their families too. For many, it is the difference between feeling isolated and feeling connected, between struggling alone and having somewhere to turn.
Now this vital local service is under serious threat and could be forced to close. If that happens, blind and partially sighted people across our community could lose access to the specialist support they rely on.
To stay open, we need to raise £100,000 by the end of April 2026.
Every donation, no matter how big or small will help protect essential services for people living with sight loss in North Staffordshire.
Your support can help us to provide:
-Practical advice and emotional support
-Social groups and community connections
-Help with independent living
-Access to specialist information and guidance
-A trusted place for people and families to turn in difficult times
If Staffordshire Sight Loss Association has ever helped you, someone you love, or if you simply believe that no one should face sight loss alone, please support us by donating and sharing our page
Together, we can help to keep our vital services going. Thank you so much to everyone who has already supported our appeal
