The SSR van (named Bertie!) has travelled thousands of miles and carried so many dogs into safety and the positive prospect of a forever home. Sadly, we broke down recently with no hope of getting Bertie back up and running. This means that we are having to purchase a new van which is vital in order for us to carry out our cause and we are workng in the community 7 days a week.

We have located a van that will come to a total cost of £5000 ( plus addiitonal costs for our branding). Although this a purchase that we will have to make regardless, this does sadly mean that our funds for the dogs will need to be spent on a new van in order for us to carry out the work that we do. We do everything for our dogs and we have given up our lives for the dogs, we hate to spend a larger amount of money that doesn't go directly towards the dogs - Eg. Vet bills etc. So we are asking for help from our amazing supporters!

What does our van do?

- Takes in dogs from homes who are no longer able to keep their dogs

- Visits homes looking to surrender their dogs for assessments

- Takes dogs to foster homes

- Takes additional food, bedding, leads, muzzles etc to foster homes in need of extra supplies (costs covered by SSR)

- Takes dogs to vet visits

-Takes dogs to emergency boarding kennels

-Attends meet and greets with proespective new owners looking to adopt

-Attends fundraising events
