Story
We work in Bristol & South Gloucestershire alongside learning disabled and autistic adults, and their families, to support them by providing social and educational opportunities in order to help them into greater independence in their lifetime.
We provide affordable social and leisure activities because 78% of learning disabled or autistic adults feel lonely and suffer from social isolation. Your donation will enable us to run our social drop-in, and provide outside activities.
As well as social activities we also provide information, support, and advocacy services. For many parents of a child with learning disabilities caring for them is a lifelong commitment, with 60% living with their families, and a third of these with a family carer over 70, the need to plan for the future is important. Your donation will allow us to work alongside more individuals and their families.
We are running the 'Help The Hive to Thrive' campaign so we can continue to support the 300+ people we work with. With your help we can ensure that learning disabled and autistic adults can lead independent, fulfilling and connected lives.

As part of our campaign a team of service users, volunteers, and staff took on a special challenge! On Sunday 20 September they walked the 1,955 feet to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain in Wales. Every penny raised will help to support The Hive and the amazing work that we do.
