Story

Meet William, a bright and determined 4-year-old boy from Saffron Walden, Essex. Despite his young age, William faces immense challenges every day due to severe hypotonia caused by an RYR1 congenital myopathy, a rare muscle disease that causes severe low muscle tone, weakening his muscles and affecting his mobility.

But William is a fighter!

To give him the best chance at independence and a brighter future, he urgently needs £20,000 for essential therapies, including:

Physiotherapy to strengthen his muscles

Hydrotherapy to improve movement in water, to support transitions out of the water

Hippotherapy (horse therapy) for core stability, balance and coordination

Specialist equipment to help him continue therapies at home, and to help him move and engage with the world

With your support, William can gain the strength and confidence to do things many children take for granted—like playing with friends, getting out of bed unaided, standing up, or walking with support. Every donation, big or small, brings him one step closer to a life full of possibilities!

Please donate and share William’s story. Together, we can help him grow stronger!
