Swim, Bike, Run for RNC

Owen Bainbridge, former RNC student and England blind footballer, and Gareth Bennett, personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach at thePoint4, are taking on the Herefordshire Triathlon to raise funds for RNC.

RNC is the UK's leading specialist FE college for young people who are blind/visually impaired. Delivering academic and vocational qualifications alongside life skills and independence training, the RNC experience is life-changing, eliminating barriers and enabling students to reach their potential.

Story

Gareth and Owen are taking on the Herefordshire Triathlon to raise funds for The Royal National College for the Blind!

On Sunday 7 June 2026, they will swim, cycle, and run their way through the Herefordshire Multi-Sport Festival at Leominster Leisure Centre. The sprint triathlon includes a 400m pool swim, an 11–12 mile bike ride, and a run to the finish.

RNC has a proud sporting history, and Owen is part of that story as both a former student and England blind footballer. Gareth’s role at thePoint4 also makes this a proper community effort, linking RNC’s public sports facility with the students and young people it helps support.

Please donate if you can. Every pound helps RNC provide greater opportunities for our students — supporting the activities, equipment, and experiences that make college life richer, more accessible, and more ambitious.
