Story
We are the registered charity dedicated to supporting the Lister, New QEII, Hertford County Hospital and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) we are facing an unprecedented demand for NHS services and we are working incredibly hard to ensure that we continue to provide extraordinary care for our patients whilst also looking after our staff.
Please leave a message of support to express your gratitude to the NHS and our hardworking staff, which we will share with them. Here are some we've received already;
"To each and every one that works at Lister, from porters, cleaners, helpers, nurses, doctors, physios, consultants and every volunteer, my family and I want to say thank you"
"I ask everyone that needs treatment at Lister or any hospital over the next few weeks and months, please remember that these amazing people will be working in extreme conditions, most Im sure will be working to the point of exhaustion"
"Our entire family just wanted to express our full support, loving thoughts and to show our sincere sense of gratitude to everyone within the NHS and especially to all those at Lister Hospital..... For your bravery, dedication and commitment in trying to save lives and beat this dreadful virus; affecting the whole world right now! Youre all heroes and the whole nation have total respect and admiration for each and every one of you..... Once this is over and, lets hope and pray its very soon.... we will once again look forward to helping the NHS rebuild and to raise even more monies fundraising to thank everyone for their selflessness and kindness given by all, in our hour of need. We cannot thank you enough for what youre all doing; at what must be the busiest and most dangerous time of our lives...... We hope that you and all your families remain healthy and safe during this immense national and world crisis. God bless you all.... Thank you "
