MancSpirit is Greater Manchester’s Mental Wellbeing Charity – we are committed to improve the mental health of those people who choose Greater Manchester as a home, for a career, for leisure or for learning. MancSpirit is unashamedly Mancunian in Design and Delivery.

Story

We need your support to expand our 'Heroes Amongst Us' programme in partnership with Trafford Veterans CIC to expand into a regular mental health 'meet up' where Veterans, Emergency Service workers and their families; can meet to socialise, share their mental health challenges and learn from each other new coping strategies. We will also access training for those that want to become peer mentors or group facilitators as well as inviting regular guest speakers and developing our own mental health awareness campaigns.

The 'Heroes Amongst Us' programme is already providing Veterans with a stronger voice through our series of podcasts where Veterans share their stories - plus through the recent exhibition at Altrincham Football Club in the run up to Remembrance day.
