Take part in Friends of the Cancer Centre's Hero Miles challenge and help make a difference to local families impacted by cancer.
Every year, Friends of the Cancer Centre provides over £100,000 of financial grants to local families. Often, these are to help with the hidden costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring. 47% of our grants are for household bills and 27% are for travel costs.
So, we’re asking you to challenge yourself to complete our 100 Hero Miles challenge and raise £250, which could help us fund a financial grant for a local family facing a cancer diagnosis right now.
Taking part in Friends of the Cancer Centre's Hero Miles Challenge is easy - simply decide how and when you are going to complete your 100 mile challenge, get sponsored and raise funds to help Friends of the Cancer Centre to provide support and care for local people impacted by cancer.
It's a flexible challenge, so you can tailor it to suit yourself. You could:
*Walk or run 100 miles throughout the month
*Cycle or row 100 miles outside or in the gym
*Swim 100 miles in the pool
*Pick your favourite exercise and adapt it for a 100 mile challenge
*Or get your friends and family together and do it as a joint challenge,
where you reach 100 miles as a team!
Whatever you choose, you’ll be a hero for local families impacted by cancer in Northern Ireland
