Destroyed defibrillator replacement in Hertfordshire

We are fundraising to replace a public access defibrillator that was destroyed by rain in Hertford Town. We only installed the defibrillator on Christmas Eve and it’s now permanently out of use.

Story

We are fundraising to replace a precious lifesaving public access defibrillator that has been destroyed in the rain.

On the 23rd January at 1830 our charity 24/7 defibrillator was activated by the ambulance service and needed for an emergency in Hertford town.

The defibrillator was returned, but instead of calling the number on the defibrillator, someone left it underneath the defibrillator cabinet and it was found 14 hours later by our guardian saturated in water from the heavy rain and Storm Eowyn.

Our precious lifesaving defibrillator has been destroyed and is not able to be available again for the next 999 call for our community.

Our defibrillator was available when it was needed but now it’s NOT available for others if there was a nearby emergency.

We fundraised and installed this defibrillator on Christmas Eve and has been activated twice already by 999 for emergencies.

We need to make sure this lifesaving defibrillator is emergency ready again.

Please help us with our fundraising.

Many thanks
