Bruce's Doggy Day Care (Cobham) & Helpful Hounds

Bruce's Doggy Day Care is proud to support Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs, helping provide life-changing assistance dogs to young people and families. Every donation helps fund training, care and support that transforms lives and builds independence.

We train Assistance Dogs in Dorset across the South of England to help change the lives of young people who are Physically Disabled, Autistic or have Down's Syndrome, PTSD or other emotional issues. Helpful Hounds also embeds community dogs within care homes, schools, colleges and universities

Story

Bruce's Doggy Day Care is proud to be partnering with Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs, a charity dedicated to changing the lives of young people and their families through the training and placement of highly skilled assistance dogs.

At Bruce's, we see every day how dogs enrich lives through companionship, confidence, and connection. Helpful Hounds takes that impact even further, training assistance dogs that support young people with physical disabilities, autism, Down's syndrome, mental health challenges, and a range of medical conditions, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.

Through this partnership, we aim to raise vital funds to support the training and development of future assistance dogs. Training a fully qualified assistance dog can take over two years and cost up to £15,000, but the life-changing benefits they provide can last for many years.

Every donation will help Helpful Hounds continue its incredible work, providing life-changing support to young people and families across Southern England. Together, we can help more dogs reach their full potential and make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need them most.

Thank you for supporting this partnership and helping us create brighter futures, one dog at a time.
