Helping Hands were established in 2009 and have been operating since then within the ABC council area supporting those most in need within our community. We provide a range of services including; furniture, food, clothing, counselling, budgeting advice, training, volunteering opportunities, befriending and more. Over the last 14 years we have delivered furniture and food to thousands within the ABC council area and in 2023 alone we have given out 835 items of practical support to date (July 2023).

All of this support could not be delivered without our vehicles. Our lorry was bought a short time after we were established in 2009 and has travelled a considerable number of miles delivering to countless people who are hurting and vulnerable (our van also needs replaced but that might be for another time!).

Unfortunately, the time has come to begin to raise the funds to replace this vehicle as the miles have gone on it is beginning to cost a considerable amount to repair and service each year which is why we are holding this fundraiser.
