Story
'See the hidden me' is this year's theme for Action for Brain Injury Week - with a focus on the non-visible or 'hidden' disabilities that can challenge and frustrate survivors - for example, fatigue, mental health issues or aphasia.
The survivors we work with also tell us how they want people to see beyond their brain injury, and to remember that, like anyone else, their identity is multi-faceted.
This month, we are fundraising to support our work, which raises awareness of the hidden consequences of a brain injury, and platforms the variety of lived experience amongst our community of survivors. Can you help us, by donating or sharing this campaign?
In our 25 years of existence, we have listened to many hundreds of survivors and their loved ones, to develop a holistic support model and a nurturing community that values co-production, peer support and empowerment - where people can recover their identities and hope for the future, after a life-changing experience.

As an independent charity, we rely on donations to fund our work. If you've been delighted, surprised or enlightened by Headway and the people we work with, please consider donating today. Thank you!
