Highgate School are fundraising in partnership with the national domestic abuse charity Women's Aid, to raise funds for their life-saving support services.
Why are we fundraising?
Did you know that women aged 16–19 year-olds are significantly more likely to experience any domestic abuse/intimate partner violence than women ages 25 years and over (CSEW, 2020).
and with the police in England and Wales receiving over 100 calls every hour relating domestic abuse, we know things need to change before women and children are safe (HMIC, 2015).
This is why we are taking part in a sponsored walk in support of Women's Aid to raise vital funds and awareness for survivors of domestic abuse.
The difference your support can make:
£10 Could fund a life-changing conversation between a professional Women's Aid support worker and a survivor of domestic abuse.
£30 Could help run the Women's Aid online community space for survivors for 2 hours, enabling safe, peer-to-peer support.
£50 Could enable Women's Aid to have 5 life-saving conversations for survivors with our specialist support workers via our Live Chat.
£90 Could help a woman struggling to access refuge space be supported with one of our specialist domestic abuse practitioners.
£120 Could help run the Women's Aid online community space for survivors for up to a whole day, enabling safe, peer-to-peer support.
£450 Could enable Women's Aid to deliver crucial training to professionals; from teachers, to the police, and the judiciary, ensuring there is a better understanding of domestic abuse and improving first responses to survivors.
With your help and donations we can help #EndAbuseTogether
