Ukrainian Action’s guided hike up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), brings volunteers & supporters together to raise funds to support Ukrainian Action Heroes rehabilitation programme, helping veterans and families heal from war trauma.
Ukrainian Action Heroes is a pioneering rehabilitation program welcoming injured Ukrainian veterans to the Carpathian mountains to learn to participate in outdoor mountain sports and activities while receiving psychological support in the serenity of the mountains. The program includes sport instruction, travel, room and board, daily access to experienced and qualified psychologists, group therapy, wellness, and mindfulness activities.
The goal of the program is to help Ukraine’s heroes and families recover from traumas sustained during combat activities by providing tools to deal with PTSD and introduce new activities a place of refuge and solace.
In March 2025, the program was expanded to offer adaptive sports for veterans with amputations.
Ukrainian Action's winter and summer programs have supported over 200 participants since February 2024.
You can support a UA Hero! £1,500 covers the cost of a 10-day rehabilitation program for one veteran.
