Hiking Against Homelessness

Only A Pavement Away's Hiking Against Homelessness will take place in Snowdonia National Park on 24th June 2023. The brainchild of Georgia Mangham - daughter of Greg - has seen so many people interested that we simply had to plan another one!

We are the national charity that supports people facing homelessness, and prison leavers, to rebuild their lives through employment opportunities in hospitality, tailored learning & development and financial support.

Story

The overall purpose of our employment programme is to work in partnership with hospitality employers, referral charity partners and, individuals who have experienced or are facing homelessness, to connect them back into work and in doing so, help to tackle some of the staffing and skills shortage within the hospitality sector. Prison leavers have a fantastic work ethic, veterans are used to teamwork and camaraderie, and those who have faced homelessness have the drive not to return to that dark space called destitution.

To date, the charity has placed over 340 members into work, adding an approximate value of over £9.4 million to the economy through reduced support, financial independence and household expenditure.

Our ambition is to support 1,000 people who have experienced or faced homelessness into work by 2024 and the funds raised by you for this challenge are vital to ensuring we can achieve this! THANK YOU
