Every Step You Take Makes a Difference!

Hike for Hospice Huntsville 2022 will be held In-person at River Mill Park in Huntsville on Sunday, May 1st. When you participate, you will be hiking to help ensure our community members receive the end-of-life care they wish for and deserve. Funds raised by all of the participants stays in our community and assists Hospice Huntsville in providing care and support at no cost to individuals and their families who are facing end-of-life situations. Hospices receive funding for only 40% of operating costs through government partners. The remaining 60% must be raised through events, fundraising campaigns and donations.

In addition, the Hike is a way to celebrate and honour our loved ones in a special and meaningful way. Opening Ceremonies will be both virtually and in-person and, as always, there will be an opportunity to write a note to your loved one and hang it on the Memory Branches. Later in May the Memory Branches will be planted, along with the notes in the beautiful Algonquin Grace gardens.

There is a minimum $50 donation required by each Hiker which will be waived if your total donations are $100 or more. Hikers are responsible for collecting all donations. There will be both a 1 km and 5 km hike route that passes through Downtown Huntsville. There may even be some entertainment along the way!

Fundraising can be done through this on-line platform, by use of paper pledge forms or collect both online and off-line donations and help Hospice Huntsville raise the funds to fulfill its mission and to provide services at no cost. Receipts will be issued for any donations of $20 or more. Receipts can now be mailed out.

To add a little fun and competition to the Event, there will be Spirit Awards for the individual or team showing the most sprit and a prize for the best dressed dog! All dogs must be on a leash. As well, there will be Top Fundraiser Prizes for: Top Individual, Top Team and Top Team with Corporate Matching. The fundraiser prizes will be determined based on all funds received by 4pm on May 3, 2022.
