Join us on Thursday May 1st for a fantastic opportunity to play football at the iconic Hillsborough Stadium, all while supporting vital research into Motor Neuron Disease (MND).
As you know, MND is a devastating terminal condition affecting the brain and nerves. It robs individuals of their ability to walk, speak, eat, and breathe, and tragically, there is currently no cure. While often perceived as rare, 1 in 300 people will develop MND in their lifetime, and six people die from it in the UK every day.
However, there is hope. Sheffield Institute of Translational Neuroscience is at the forefront of MND research, with world-leading scientists working tirelessly to find a cure. We are the first in the UK to successfully run a clinical trial for MND using gene therapy, and your support can help us accelerate these crucial efforts.
