The National Animal Welfare Trust in Bedfordshire cares for and rehomes upwards of 200 animals a year. Running a centre with this many animals obviously has high running costs, and fundraising is vital for us to continue to help the numbers of animals that we do. Especially as we've been experiencing an increase in the need for our support following lockdown and the cost of living crisis, so right now money is being stretched further than ever!
Holly is one of our incredible Animal Care Assistants who works tirelessly to look after the animals from the moment they arrive at the rescue, to the day they leave for their forever homes. Holly has chosen to run the Twilight 10K at the Bedford Running Festival on the 7th of September to and that the funds she raises will go to the animals at NAWT's Bedfordshire centre.
