Honley Male Voice Choir’s Marsden – Slaithwaite Charity Walk 2026

On Saturday 20 June 2026, the men of Honley Male Voice Choir will swap their concert shoes for walking boots as we take on a 6 mile walk from Marsden to Slaithwaite and back. With our supporters by our side, we’re setting out to raise vital funds for two causes that mean the world to us.

We’re also proud to highlight two walkers going above and beyond. Andrew Burgess is tackling a five day high altitude trek to Machu Picchu, taking on the Inca Trail and camping without running water to raise funds for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. And David Ramsden is completing an incredible challenge of his own: six miles a day for 90 consecutive days, finishing in style with the choir walk on 20 June.

Supporting Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice

This year, we’re honoured to champion our charity of the year, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, Huddersfield (Charity No. 1110457). The Hospice provides specialist care for children with life shortening conditions and offers compassionate support to families coping with the unimaginable loss of a child. Supporting the Choir’s Future

Alongside raising funds for the Hospice, we’re also walking to support Honley Male Voice Choir itself, helping us sustain our 90 year musical tradition and community impact for generations to come.

Why We’re Walking

This walk is more than a fundraiser. it’s a symbol of what we believe in: community, compassion, and connection. We hope to make a meaningful difference to families who need support and to the future of our choir. Every donation, big or small, helps us bring comfort, care, and harmony to those who need it most.

All funds raised will be split equally between Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Honley Male Voice Choir.
