This June, we have been given a truly life-changing opportunity for some of the most vulnerable children we support.

20 young players — 10 from war-torn Ukraine and 10 from Gagauzia, Moldova, a region gripped by deep poverty and hardship — have been invited to travel to Bulgaria to represent Hope4 at the prestigious Nesebar Cup 2025 international youth football tournament.

For these children — who have only known poverty, conflict, and fear — this is about so much more than football.

This is about hope. About healing. About giving them back their childhood.

Many of these boys have never left their own towns or villages. Some have never even crossed a border. They’ve grown up surrounded by the trauma of war, or trapped by the hopelessness of poverty.

This trip offers them something they’ve scarcely dared to dream of:
