In our community and in most others in this country there is an ever growing number of people who are lost in the cycles of addiction or heading ever closer. Addiction is a disease and means that the people involved are no longer able to make the decision not to use drugs or drink alcohol but are controlled by it. Their families and friends no longer can influence what happens to their loved ones. There is always hope and we can make sure these group discussions show that and the way forward.
