Taking steps to make a difference!

On 3 October 2021, #TeamHospiscare will be putting on their running shoes and putting their best foot forward, as they take part in one of the worlds most iconic races the London Marathon!

They'll be training hard and racing 26.2 miles past some of London's most famous landmarks, all to raise vital funds to enable Hospiscare to continue supporting terminally ill patients and their families.

As a local charity, Hospiscare relies on fundraising and donations to fund the care of 4 out of every 5 patients. The covid-19 pandemic has resulted in cancelled fundraising events and limited retail income, so the charity is facing a loss of income of over £1.5 million this financial year. At this difficult time, we desperately need our community to come together to support end-of-life care in the heart of Devon.
