Please help our foals Tom Thumb & Caveman Carl

2 foals rescued from terrible circumstances and in need of hospital treatment. How can we deny them the help they need? Both innocent little souls are receiving the care they deserve.

We are a small volunteer led charity, rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming equines, mainly from the Welsh Commons. We castrate colts & stallions to promote breeding controls, reduce fighting amongst the herds, we rescue orphan foals, ponies in poor condition and attend RTCs.

Story

Caveman Carl -

this colt was seen by a member of the public falling down a crevice on the Common, the team were passing. This little man was so lucky that our volunteer Carl was a hero, he went into the crevice and brought Caveman to safety. 9-10ft down and under ground, the team had a rope on Carl for safety, but he was very brave and brought the colt out, to the delight of the volunteers Caveman has lots of bad cuts and swellings from his night underground. The team later got his mum and the pair have been taken to hospital, where Caveman will hopefully recover with his Mum by his side over the next few days.

Tom Thumb

was found alone on Easter Sunday. The Team came to his rescue at the night time, losing light... another difficult rescue, he seemed ok, but very lethargic. He is around a week old, IGG levels ok, further bloods taken. His mum unable to care for him and left him behind. We think he is Sister of Thumbelina who was rescued from the same place last year, she is identical. He was nursed by the team since coming in, but went rapidly downhill on Tuesday afternoon/evening and was admitted to hospital for vital fluids. He is being treated for infection and will stay at the hospital until he is stronger and nursing properly. The team will try to get his Mum and if she is interested in him, he will stay with her.
