Home-Start HOST is an organisation of trained volunteers and qualified staff, supporting families with young children throughout challenging times. We work across Tameside, Oldham, Stockport and Bolton supporting families with children under 5 years of age in their time of need. We aim to cover direct Family Support, Infant Feeding Peer Support, School Readiness (Play, Learn Grow), Peer Support for Dads (Dad Matters), as well as running groups, walks and seasonal events.
Children who are raised in a stable and loving family environment are more likely to have a positive and healthy future. We are here to support parents, so they can give their children the best start in life. By supporting Home-Start HOST, you can make a real difference to the future of today's children.
Speaking to Kieran at a Dad chat group , helped me voice my concerns about becoming a first-time Dad and feel more confident and able to support my wife. I will always be grateful to HOST and Dad Matters for this support.
My volunteer coming means I can do so much. This service from HOST has made such a difference to mine and my children’s lives and I am truly grateful for all of their support.
Because of the support I received from Home-Start, I feel like my relationship with my son is more meaningful.
My breastfeeding journey would have been cut very short without the help and support from the ladies at HOST and I am so thankful to them today.
This year, in order to raise funds which will enable us to continue the support that we offer, we are entering the Manchester Great Run 10K again!
