On Sunday 10th September, Hotel School will be taking part in the London Hospitality Festival Charity Softball Match.
We will be bringing together a team of 12 (new!) softball players - made up of Hotel School Graduates, Employer Partners, Staff and Ambassadors - for a friendly tournament against 8 fantastic charities.
All in the name of fundraising and fun, we will be playing multiple games on the pitch all day in the hope of winning that Charity Shield! By supporting our team, you will be enabling us to continue our work, getting our students off the street and into rewarding and fulfilling work, for good.
Hotel School teaches hospitality skills to homeless and vulnerable people, matches them to sustainable employment, and supports them in their first steps into work.
“One year ago, I was unhappy, stuck at home and isolated. Now my life is changed.”
Our students are from a very wide variety of backgrounds and are of different ages. They are either homeless, rough sleepers, seeking refuge or have faced significant barriers into employment. They all have one thing in common: they want to change their lives.
We provide a 10 week programme teaching the key skills and knowledge to prepare our students for the 4 key areas of service, kitchen, housekeeping and reception. This course is challenging and part of a selection process, but it is also punctuated with fun, inspirational and fascinating visits, guests and activities!
Our graduates are then carefully matched to the right employer in one of our partner businesses and supported by our team for a minimum of 12 months after graduating.
