Help Us Build a Permanent Home for Faith and Community in Bourne

House of Prayer Bourne is raising £40,000 to buy and restore a historic church building as a permanent space for worship, children & youth mentoring, and community care in the heart of Bourne.

House of Prayer Bourne is a vibrant church committed to prayer, revival, and righteous living. For over 10 years, we've served our town faithfully bringing hope, support, and the love of Jesus through worship, outreach, and community care. The church is led by Pastor Michael and Lara Samuel.

Story

For over a decade, House of Prayer Bourne has quietly served the town not from a large building, but from rented rooms and shared spaces. There has never been a steeple or stained glass windows just people; People praying. People listening. People showing up for others in moments of need.

Every week, we’ve gathered to worship and fellowship. We’ve shared Christmas meals with those who would’ve otherwise been alone at Christmas. We’ve visited families in crisis, supported young people on the edge, and created space for people to talk, weep, or just be. And we’ve done it all without a permanent building.

But now, something significant is happened.

A historic church building in the centre of Bourne the former United Reformed Church has been put up for sale. For many, it’s just another old building. But for us, it’s an opportunity we’ve prayed about for years. A place to come together, not just to worship, but to continue the work on what we have been called to do. In a way that is rooted, visible, and sustainable.

We see this as more than just acquiring a property. It’s about planting deeper roots in the town we love creating a permanent place of prayer, healing, worship, and welcome.

To begin this journey, we’re aiming to raise £40,000, a portion of the total needed to secure the building and begin transforming it into a space that will serve Bourne in new and expanded ways.

It will take faith. It will take partnership. And it will take people like you.

Whether you choose to give, to share our story, or simply to pray alongside us, your support brings this vision closer to reality. This building may carry years of history but with your help, it can also carry a future filled with life, purpose, and community.

Thank you for standing with us.
