Story
Thank you for your interest in the exciting heating and accessibility project about to be undertaken at Holy Trinity Skipton. As a church community we have decided to set out on this ambitious and pioneering physical change to our church buildings for three main reasons:
• We are inspired and motivated by our faith to ensure that Holy Trinity offers a warmth of hospitality to all people.
• Back in 2021 we committed to go carbon neutral by 2030. We are determined to meet this non-negotiable pledge.
• In 2022 the old and disintegrating pipe work in the church began to leak (so we have no heating). Holy Trinity has served the community of Skipton for 800 years and remains at the heart of the town to this day.
•In 2024, despite being self-funding, we continue to welcome thousands of visitors from around the world and maintain the close links with the town and the most vulnerable on our door step. We are very proud of this heritage, the beauty of these buildings and the opportunity to serve all people of all backgrounds. We would be delighted and deeply grateful if you would like to support us in this bold aspiration to meet the needs of this and future generations.
