The Hubb Foundation Potters 'Arf Marathon 2026

Tana Owen, Jo Robinson and Nausheen Latif from The Hubb Foundation will take on their first Potters ’Arf half‑marathon walk on 4th October, aiming to raise £2,500 to support vulnerable children in Stoke‑on‑Trent.

The Hubb Foundation is an independent and socially-inclusive charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and families in Stoke-on-Trent by fighting hunger, improving physical and emotional well-being, raising aspirations and fostering resilience.

Story

THREE Stoke-on-Trent charity employees are stepping up to the plate to take on their first ever half-marathon challenge – which is no mean feat when it’s the notorious Potters ‘Arf course.

The Hubb Foundation School Relationship Manager Tana Owen, Finance Manager Jo Robinson and Data and Compliance Officer Nausheen Latif are now in training for the grueling Potters ‘Arf Marathon walking course on October 4 and every penny you can spare makes a big difference.

The intrepid trio hope to raise thousands of pounds for The Hubb Foundation which supports disadvantaged families and children across the city, whether it’s HAF holidays, Hubb Pots cooking sessions or delivering meals and Christmas toy gifts where they are needed.

Team spokesperson Tana Owen said: “We have set ourselves the target of raising £2,500 for our first Potters ‘Arf walk, which will enable us to support 100 vulnerable children in a city where 19,000 youngsters are classed as living in ‘absolute poverty’.

“Every school holiday we work with thousands of families to provide free holiday care and experiences and ensure children have a healthy meal each day but there is always more to do. Raising vital funds will ensure we can touch even more lives.

And finally, some numbers we are proud of:

• 1,074,484: the incredible number of meals we have delivered to vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families in Stoke-on-Trent through our various projects.

• 277,715: the number of opportunities given to disadvantaged children across our city – from HAF holiday programmes, to JCB-funded Hubb Holidays.

• 7,487: the number of fun and educational sessions provided by the brilliant 150+ schools and organisations we work in partnership with.
