Skipton Community Sports Hub - Appeal after Burglary

On Tuesday 20th February the Hub was broken into and thieves caused thousands pounds worth of damage (we are still assessing how much!). We are looking for your support with all the additional costs not covered by our insurance and our excess 😢

The Hub will be an open and accessible facility for the Skipton and Craven community for both sporting and non-sporting activities. We support and promote healthy living whilst upholding the principle of inclusion. It is also the clubhouse for both Skipton Cricket Club and Skipton Juniors FC.

Story

Sadly our Hub building was broken into around 9:15pm on Tuesday 20th February and thieves caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to windows, window frames, fire doors and stole some equipment.

As you can imagine we are gutted but very grateful to the member of the public who spotted the suspicious loading of a van and reported it to the police who responded swiftly.

This is a real setback as both Skipton Juniors FC and Skipton Cricket Club are both grassroots clubs at the heart of the community, and run entirely by volunteers.

Our focus now is to get back on track so that over 600 children and young people from Skipton Juniors FC and Skipton Cricket Club (and their families!) can use the Hub.
