The Homeless World Cup Foundation works with a network of 70+ Street Football Partners around the world, all of whom utilise football as a tool for social change. Combined, our network of Street Football Partners reaches between 80000-100000 marginalised people every year. For many experiencing homelessness right now, that support is a lifeline.
Cancelling the Homeless World Cup Tournament means weve lost more than a sporting event. We have lost the stage in which we showcase the power of football to inspire and change lives.
We want to have even greater impact around the world and give more support where its needed most. We want to reach more people in more countries, where we can help the most marginalised in society to regain hope and inspire change in their lives, and we need your help.
This year for the first time we will host a Homeless World Cup Day. July 5th will see a celebration of our work and the work of our Street Football Partners and their year-round activities.
Starting from April 6 and on to July 7, were inviting all our supporters to join our call to action by signing up to our Virtual Stadium, donating to the Homeless World Cup Foundation, and sharing a video on social media of themselves doing a little bit of ball skill and nominating other friends to do the same.
Funds raised will go towards growing impact as we seek to strengthen and develop programmes in Africa, Asia and the Latin America.
Our event may be off, but the challenge remains. Please donate and help us #KeepTheBallRolling.
