IAFN (AKA It’s All For Nepal) is a charity that was established to help victims of the 2015 Nepalese earthquake. Our aim is to help impoverished communities in Nepal with a focus on education and healthcare.

Story

Namaste! We're excited to announce after facing challenges caused by the Covid pandemic, we're set to embark on our next trip to Nepal. In September, we have ten enthusiastic volunteers ready to make a positive impact.

What's the trip for?

This year, our primary focus is to provide 500 menstruation dignity packs to health clinics in remote rural areas of Nepal. The packs contain essential reusable sanitary products crucial for the health and well-being of Nepalese women and girls. Unfortunately, little access to menstrual products in these rural areas can cause health problems and social stigma, leading to missed work and school opportunities.

Alongside this, we're providing resources and training to local nurses and female volunteers, enabling them to distribute health information with the dignity packs. This will help promote awareness about menstrual health and empower women to make sustainable changes for themselves.

In addition, we're delivering essential equipment to orphanages in the Kathmandu area and schools we have previously worked with. Some items will be sourced from the UK, while others will be purchased in Kathmandu.

Current need

We're reaching out to ask for contributions to help fund equipment being supplied to the Nepalese communities. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated by us and will have a meaningful impact on their well-being. All proceeds go directly to the people of Nepal, all volunteers are self funded.
