Story
Right now, thousands of dogs in Tanzania are at risk from the devastating impact of rabies. We urgently need your help to protect them.
Rabies is fatal in over 99% of cases once symptoms appear, making it one of the deadliest diseases in the world.
Every year, dogs suffer and die from this devastating disease due to a lack of access to vital veterinary care. But the heartbreak does not stop there.
Healthy dogs can also become victims simply because they are seen as a potential threat to human life. Thousands of dogs have lost their lives through fear-driven responses, including mass culling, despite the fact that vaccination could have protected them and the communities around them.
It is truly heartbreaking, and it does not have to be their reality.
The good news is that rabies is 100% preventable with a simple vaccination.
IAPWA is once again partnering with our friends at Meru Animal Welfare Organisation (MAWO) to urgently vaccinate thousands of dogs in Tanzania against rabies and help protect both animals and communities.
Here’s how you can help make a difference:
• £1 could help vaccinate one dog against rabies
• £10 could help vaccinate 10 dogs against this deadly disease
• £50 could help vaccinate 50 vulnerable dogs
• £100 could help vaccinate 100 dogs and bring hope to communities
Not only could your gift help save the life of a dog or puppy, but your contribution could also help protect entire communities, reduce the fear surrounding rabies, and create a safer future for vulnerable street dogs across Tanzania.
Thank you so much for making a difference. Our small charity could not do any of this without you.
