Just weeks ago, River was living peacefully on the streets of Penang Island, surviving day-to-day as so many street dogs do. But everything changed in an instant when she accidentally stumbled into a cruel wild animal trap.

By the time she was found, almost her entire front leg had been ripped away, leaving her in unimaginable pain and distress. There was no way to save her leg, and to save her life, River had to undergo an emergency amputation.

Now she faces an uncertain future on only three legs. Learning to move, balance, and walk again will take time, patience, and ongoing rehabilitation.
