Story
Video games are vital for some autistic people to socialise, build confidence, make friends and explore the world in the comfort of their own chosen environment. - Jade, autistic indie developer
Why International Friendship day?
We know that friendships may look different for some autistic people, but that doesn't make them any less valuable. Games can create a safe space for autistic people to connect with others on their terms. That's why we're celebrating digital friendships this International Friendship Day.
Why raise money for Autistica?
This event is raising funds for autism research that enables every autistic person to live a happy, healthy and long life. We're working with researchers and autistic people around the UK to focus on issues that matter most to our community.
Your fundraisers and donations can help make breakthroughs that allow every autistic person to be understood, supported and included.
How can I get involved?
You can get involved in any way you choose! Set up a fundraiser by yourself or with friends, or make a donation. You can stream throughout the weekend, host a gamathon or run any sort of fundraiser that suits you!
