Dear friends and supporters,
My name is Ifty, and I am born and raised in the vibrant city of Leeds. However, my roots trace back to the breath taking region of Azad Kashmir. This year, on May 12th, 2024, I am embarking on a personal challenge that holds immense significance for me – I will be training for and running in the Leeds Marathon, my hometown race.
Beyond the physical feat, this marathon carries a deeper purpose. I am reaching out to you to join me in raising funds for the Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) projects. As someone with a connection to Azad Kashmir, I am deeply aware of the challenges faced by the majority of the people in Azad Kashmir who live below the poverty line. KORT works tirelessly to provide them with education, healthcare, and a chance at a brighter future.
The funds raised through this particular campaign will directly contribute to the KORT Hospital project. I want to assure you that every donation, regardless of size, goes directly into the KORT accounts. Transparency is key, and your generosity will directly impact the lives of those who need it the most. More details of this project can be found here: https://kort.org.uk/donations/kort-hospital-project/
As I train for this marathon, I carry the hope that together, we can make a difference. I invite you to be a part of this journey by contributing to the cause and spreading the word. Your support means the world to me and, more importantly, to those whose lives will be positively impacted by your generosity.
Please remember to tick the Gift Aid box if you are a UK Taxpayer as this will help with admin costs of the charity.
Thank you for considering and supporting this endeavour. Your kindness will create a ripple effect, touching lives and building a brighter future for those in need.
With gratitude,
Ifty
