The Village Hall in Ilketshall St Andrew is at the heart of the community

and is the hub of village life. It is used for many social events and

gatherings. Fund raising for running costs and improvements has been

continuous for the management committee since 1987 and this has

always been successful.

However, now after a disastrous series of events, we have been left with

major roofing failure and a devastated interior. Added to that is the

discovery of asbestos which will need to be cleared by a specialist

contractor. Replacing the roof is our priority, then after the clean-up we

will have to reinstate the suspended ceiling and insulation, and

redecorate. As you can imagine, we are in desperate need of several

thousand pounds and are appealing to you for help. If you have ever

enjoyed an event at our lovely hall, or never even heard of us, you can

make a difference. Small or large, your donation will be hugely

appreciated.
