This city is more than just a destination. Manchester is a home with a proud history of resilience and solidarity. The city is the vanguard of standing up for those who need help. From Peterloo to Pankhurst, our city gives a voice to the voiceless and I Love MCR is an incorruptible symbol of that.

We stick together here, too. We know the power of civic pride and community and know that, as Mancunians, we have far more in common with each other than that which divides us. And the Manchester of today is no exception. We are a bright, vibrant, successful city – but there are still some people who need a helping hand.

What do we fund?

Our foundation helps to raise vital funds to help improve the lives and prospects of people across Greater Manchester. The I Love Manchester Foundation is working in partnership with Forever Manchester (Charity No. 1017504) who manage the fund to make sure that all the money raised reaches grass root community projects throughout Greater Manchester.

So whether it's support for underprivileged children and under-funded grass root projects, or vulnerable army veterans desperate for life after service and homeless people who need a bed, donate and help our foundation and partners fund great causes as and when it's needed the most.

How do we raise funds?

We publish positive stories, mobilise and call upon a charitable Greater Manchester community. We create meaningful content and use our platform to engage with the right people and raise awareness of great causes. Meanwhile, we take part in, create and coordinate fundraising events such as the I Love Manchester Awards, run a charity raffle and sell charity merchandise.

The I Love Manchester Awards is an inclusive event celebrating people and civic pride with a contemporary show and ceremony that evokes our brand values.

Ultimately, though, we count on partnerships and monetary donations from good people (like you). We're never ceased to be humbled by the goodwill of fellow members of humanity and the way Manchester stands together at times of need.

Our golden promise to you...

Your donations are managed independently by our partner Forever Manchester – Greater Manchester’s Community Foundation – and regulated by the Charity Commission. The media and advertising side of our organisation almost completely absorbs the usual costs of running a foundation, so there are minimum overheads and you can rest assured that 100% of the donations go to good use. Therefore, we can guarantee for every £1 we spend, the majority of it goes directly to making life change happen, and the rest only goes towards marketing, fundraising and governance – keeping the big light on so we can continue to take action, raise awareness and make an impact.
