We want more children to experience the magic of being sent their own book through the post. And with your support we can grow The Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

We are a UK partner in the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. It’s a book gifting programme devoted to inspiring a love of reading in the hearts of children.

How It Works

Each month children, from 0-5 years, who are part of the programme receive in the post a high quality, age appropriate book. The books are specially wrapped and addressed to the child and are delivered at no cost to the family. The books are carefully selected, and full of variety. They include traditional stories and rhymes, books by beloved authors and illustrators, non-fiction content, and newly published titles.

The Dollywood Foundation funds half the cost of the book and Home-Start HOST fundraise for the rest.

The children who receive these books LOVE them, it’s also true that their families would not be able to afford the books themselves. All children deserve books, to read and share stories.

We have children on the waiting list to join the Imagination Library. For just £2 you can send a book to a child for one month, £12 = 6 months and £24 = one year.
