Story
Since 1973, the South West Coast Path Association have been instrumental in not only forming the UK's best-loved National Trail, but in protecting, enhancing and promoting it, meaning that more people can safely feel the health and well-being benefits of connecting actively with nature.
The South West Coast Path connects millions of people each year, in endless different ways. In Their Footsteps is a way to celebrate the lives of the people who have benefitted from the Path, all whilst raising important funds for those who have enjoyed their own journeys along the Path throughout their lives.
Why Walk In Their Footsteps?
We all have stories of people who have left indelible marks on our lives. Friends, family members, mentors, and heroes – they have shaped us into who we are today. "In Their Footsteps" is a platform to share those stories, to celebrate the joy they brought into our lives, and to keep their memories alive, all whilst raising funds for the South West Coast Path Association, helping to keep the Path experience an amazing one for generations to come.
As we walk together, we raise funds for a range of works carried out by the South West Coast Path Association, and help journeys to continue into the future. Whether it's supporting outreach projects, Path improvements and infrastructure, accessibility campaigns, readiness for damage caused by storms, promotion of the Path, or any other cause that resonates, each donation contributes to building a brighter future, just as our cherished ones would have wished.
Leaving a Lasting Impression
"In Their Footsteps" is more than a walk; it's a tribute, a remembrance, and a collective effort to carry forward the spirit of those who live on in our hearts. Let's lace up our shoes, step out into the world, and honour the beautiful footprints they left behind.
We hope that you'll join us on this meaningful journey to celebrate, remember, and make a difference - one step at a time.
