We are transforming the playground at Burrow’s Fields into something truly special: a place where every child can play, belong, and thrive together.

Imagine your child, grandchild, niece, or nephew laughing, exploring, and making friends in a beautiful new play space designed for everyone, regardless of ability. A place where children learn from an early age that differences are not barriers, and that play should never exclude anyone.

This new playground will be fully inclusive, featuring accessible equipment and surfaces, sensory and motion play, and spaces where children of all abilities can play side by side. Designed with input from children themselves, it will be a safe, welcoming, and sustainable community space built to inspire joy, confidence, and connection.

The playground will include:

• An accessible climbing frame, trampoline, roundabout, and seesaw

• Swings for children of all abilities

• Sensory and movement-based play experiences

• Comfortable rest areas for parents, carers, and grandparents

• Many more exciting opportunities for adventure, discovery, and friendship

This project has overwhelming community support. We are working alongside organisations representing thousands of local children, including many with disabilities, to create a playground that meets the needs of every family.

Burrow’s Fields has the potential to become a flagship inclusive playground for Cheltenham and beyond—a place that sets a new standard for accessibility, equality, and community spirit.

Most importantly, it will change lives. It will give children the freedom to play together, help families feel welcome and included, and create lasting memories for generations to come.
