A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake has triggered a devastating tsunami on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.

Right now, people are still trapped. Families have been torn apart. Lives are on the line. There is no time to waste.

Oxfam joins The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) to launch an urgent public appeal. People are in desperate need of food, water and shelter - please help us reach them before it's too late.

More than 2 million people could be affected by the disaster, which has forced thousands from their homes. The death toll has reached over 1300 people.

And, as rescuers work around the clock to find survivors in the rubble, its expected to rise even further. Due to the scale of the destruction, we urgently need your help to get clean water, food and shelter to survivors in the worst hit areas.
