Story
Our vision is to strengthen and grow the partnership between Hampshire Indatwa, a girls’ cricket team based in Ndera, Rwanda and young female cricketers in Hampshire, under the auspices of Cricket Without Boundaries, with the aim of “empowering girls with life skills through cricket.”
We have two key objectives;
To work together to ensure girls’ cricket in Ndera is supported and is sustainable, providing opportunities for girls to play, coach and officiate.
To give girls in both Hampshire and Rwanda the tools and resources to enhance their athletic, academic and social development as well as empowering them with a leadership mindset thus preparing them for success on and off the cricket field
To support the above we have set ourselves four core funding aims:
To run a street kids project in Ndera providing a weekly fun coaching session with health messages, a hot meal and life skills sessions for 50 children
An Indatwa Champions programme – running basic courses in coaching and officiating for girls from Ndera, with these girls then helping support sessions at 5 regional hubs – funding for transport and Champions shirts
To provide playing shirts for the 16 girls’ teams in Ndera
To bring a team of girls over to the UK to develop as players, coaches and officials - 2024
