It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Kevin Appleby passed away after a short illness. Kevin was a respected leader, cherished colleague and much loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Kevin devoted three decades of his life to Calvert Kielder, joining first as a carer where his amazing leadership qualities were soon employed, becoming the Director of Operations and latterly our Chief Executive. Throughout his time with the charity, he was a driving force for inclusion, ensuring that people of all ages and abilities could experience the joy of adventure in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. His legacy will continue to live on in the thousands of lives touched by Calvert Kielder.
