Tettenhall Inner Wheel Ladies Putting Their Best Foot Forward for Beacon!

150 Laps for 150 Years of Beacon

Beacon Centre for the Blind was established over 145 years ago with a purpose of supporting people with sight loss to live fuller, more independent lives. Covering the Black Country & Staffordshire our activity centres host well-being activities & programmes, talking news & employment opportunities.

Story

This year, the Tettenhall Inner Wheel Ladies community group is stepping up in support of Beacon Centre for the Blind by taking on the Best Foot Forward 2025 challenge!

On Saturday 28th June, at Aldersley Leisure Village, the team will be walking an incredible 150 laps throughout the day to raise vital funds for Beacon, who are proudly celebrating 150 years of supporting people living with sight loss.

Joining them will be Kathy, a Beacon Trustee who lives with sight loss herself, showing true dedication by also taking part in the challenge.

Please get behind the Inner Wheel Ladies and show your support by sponsoring the team.

Let’s make every lap count and raise funds for Beacon Centre for the Blind as they celebrate their big milestone birthday this year. Beacon has been a lifeline for so many people living with sight loss, helping them navigate their journeys with confidence, dignity, and independence. Just last year, Beacon's engagement team was the first point of contact for 550 people impacted by sight loss, offering reassurance and a crucial first steps toward living well. We’re incredibly proud to be supporting Beacon in their birthday year, ensuring they can continue to deliver this life changing work for many more years to come.
