On 15th August, we will be celebrating International Neonatal Nurses Day and recognising the extraordinary Buscot neonatal nurses who provide expert care, comfort and compassion to premature and poorly babies at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Every day, these dedicated professionals support families through some of the most challenging moments of their lives, helping babies receive the very best start possible.

💜 NHS staff training and development opportunities to help improve babies outcomes and staff-led initiatives such as Golden Drops aimed at improving access to vital colostrum for babies in their earliest hours and days

💜 Specialist training tools and equipment, such as simulation babies, helping staff develop and maintain vital skills in areas including resuscitation and IV

💜 Improvements to staff wellbeing spaces, including furnishings for their staff room

💜 Seasonal initiatives, such as Christmas scrubs, to bring a little joy to the ward

💜 Gifts and treats throughout the year, including at Christmas and Easter, to boost morale and remind staff how valued they are.
